We hope this blog post finds you amidst the joyful celebrations of the Festive Season. As always, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for continuously providing us with the opportunity to engage in what we love doing. With the year drawing to a close, we are eager to express that to our entire community and want to shine a spotlight on both our amazing producers and cherished customers.

Our individual thanks goes to our dedicated producers: Barth, Battenfeld-Spanier, Bürgerspital, Blankenhorn, Freiherr von Gleichenstein, Fritz Waßmer, Gut Hermannsberg, and Stromberg-Zabergäu. Additionally, a special acknowledgment goes out to our customers: Ana Wine and Spirits, Angelbeck’s Fine Wines and Spirits, Artisan, Barrymore’s Wine & Spirits, Battello, Beacon Hill Club, Bistro La Source, Blu on the Hudson, Buy Rite Jersey City, Cambridge Wines, Cask Fine & Rare Wines, Central Park Tower, Chambers Street Wines, Classic Wines, Crabtree’s Kittle House, Crystal Springs Resort, Gabriel Kreuther, Grapeshot Wines & Spirit, Greens Farms Spirit Shop, Greenwich Wine & Spirits, Hopewell Super Buy Rite, Institute of Culinary Education, Il Mulino, Jackey Chen Liquor, Keen’s Steakhouse, K&W Liquors, La Plage, Le Dû Wines, L’Escale, Liederkranz, Lum’s Cellars, Maplewood Country Club, Plattduetsche Park, Porter House, Princeton Corkscrew, River Market, Sang de la Terre, Savannah Distributing, Schilling, Society of Illustrators, Spring Studios, St. James Gate, Tavern on the Green, Terroir Tribeca, The Century Association, The River Club of New York, The Wine Cellarage, The Wine List Summit, Tribeca Rooftop, Village Hall, Village Wine Shop, Vintage Grape, Wired for Wine, Wine.com, Yardville Buy Rite, and, of course, all our private customers who consistently choose to engage with our Retail Partners.

Our journey toward illuminating the American market about the superior quality of German wine is made possible solely because of your unwavering support. In the upcoming year, we eagerly welcome new producers from Mosel and Pfalz, and expanding our horizons into the realm of spirits. We are actively seeking collaborations with distinguished craft distilleries based in Germany and are excitedly launching a brand for a locally produced vodka in partnership with a New York-based distillery. Many of our customers boast sophisticated bars, and we are enthusiastic about fostering stronger relationships with Mixologists in the city. Additionally, we are fervently driving an initiative to target a wider audience through Liquor stores with a RTD wine cocktail in a can. All these endeavors, including other non-German initiatives, will be spearheaded under the new entity Beverage Book. This dedicated team ensures that Wunderwein retains its unwavering focus on marketing its premium German wine portfolio.

Commencing January 2nd, 2024, we are integrating NY Distribution with Gasko & Meyer and would like to extend our appreciation to the team for expanding our portfolio across the State. We aim to fortify our partnership with Savannah Distributing in Atlanta, offering support in their endeavor to develop the State of Georgia, and similarly for Sang de la Terre in Delaware. In Connecticut, we continue with self-distribution alongside Classic Wines, actively seeking a Regional Director capable of developing this State and neighboring Westchester and Long Island.

We will share more news and additional detail over the coming weeks!

In the meantime, if you are looking for last minute gift ideas, please note that we now have four of the great six GGs from Gut Hermannsberg on wine.com and would be delighted to see them in your hands. This is timely as Wines of Germany has just featured Karsten Peter, the legendary wine maker of the Estate on this blog post.

May the serenity and joy of this Holiday Season resonate warmly with you and your loved ones!

With all best wishes from Team Wunderwein.
