Celebrating Spring with Asparagus

This time of the year, Asparagus is a big deal in Germany, and we love to celebrate that it is in Season since it pairs so well with many German wines.There is debate if it goes better with Riesling or Silvaner, but I personally prefer it with Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris, especially from Baden. Of course, the pairing suggestions also depend on the main protein, sides, and sauces that you serve with your asparagus but for almost all combinations the Baden Pinots are delightful companions.One of the key events where we celebrate the…
