We currently offer an exceptional deal for a German rosé. This is a Villa Wolf Pinot Noir Pfalz Rosé 2019 from VDP wine maker Ernst Loosen. The Villa Wolf Pinot Noir Rosé is a true rosé, made with a brief maceration before pressing to extract color. It is light and refreshing, with deliciously bright berry and fruit flavors and a clean, zippy finish. It’s perfect for holiday meals, especially when ham is involved. The Pfalz is a very warm and sunny region, often called the “Tuscany of Germany,” so all of the Pinot varieties do well here. James Suckling gives it 90 points and notes the following: “With or without an ice cube on a hot day, this is very charming. Pretty, berry and floral notes, the palate juicy with lively, citrusy acidity, supported by a gentle spritz. Barely off dry. Drink now. Screw cap. (9/16/20)”. The wine usually retails around $18 and we are offering it at $10.
