As we approach the end of Q3 and prepare for the busy season of Q4, I wanted to share some exciting updates from our end.

This summer has been eventful, with a particularly busy July. After two years of discussions, tastings, and sample shipments, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve secured our first order with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB). The PLCB, which oversees the distribution of beverage alcohol in Pennsylvania, operates around 600 stores statewide and plays a vital role in regulating alcohol distribution and promoting responsible drinking. We’re delighted to have our Barth Fructus Riesling featured in their selection. If you’re in Pennsylvania, you can order it here.

Another highlight this quarter was securing an order from the renowned Wine Library, owned by Gary Vaynerchuk. I’ve admired this store for over a decade, and it’s a significant milestone to work with them. I’ll provide more details about their fantastic selections of our wines in a separate update.

Talking about fantastic selections of our wines, I’m excited to share that all our wine submissions to Wine Spectator were accepted, with the first reviews already published in this October issue. Special thanks to Senior Editor Kristen Bieler for the excellent ratings, including 89 points for our Stromberg-Zabergäu Pinot Meunier Sparkling Rosé, 92 points for the 2014 Barth Hassel GG Riesling Sekt and 2017 Battenfeld-Spanier Frauenberg GG Riesling and 93 points for the 2015 Gut Hermannsberg Kupfergrube GG Riesling.

Additionally, we welcomed Dylan to our team in July. His enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of German wines have already made a significant impact. In his first few weeks, he secured new business from Little Mo and Greene Grape in Brooklyn and expanded our presence at existing accounts like Artisan, Chambers Street Wines, Blu on the Hudson, Keens Steakhouse, Tavern On The Green and the Institute of Culinary Education. We’re also excited to see our wines featured at events such as a gala at the Society of Illustrators and the upcoming Steuben Parade and Oktoberfest in Central Park this coming Saturday, September 21st. If you haven’t already booked your tickets and are still interested in joining us, please find here all details for both the Steuben Parade and Oktoberfest.

Earlier this month, Dylan has been running store Tastings in Jersey City and Brooklyn and he was also lucky enough to join the infamous Riesling Cruise, organized by our customer and German Wine Ambassador Paul Grieco from Terroir.

September also saw the conclusion of our GACC Gift Card Promotion. Many guests at this year’s White Asparagus Gala Dinner enjoyed a complimentary bottle of Barth Ultra Brut Nature Sekt from our retail partner Grapeshot Wine & Spirits. If you missed out on your gift, please let me know, and I’ll see if we can arrange another bottle for you.

Lastly, this Wednesday we’ll be supporting a BBQ event at Central Park Club on the 14th Floor Terrace Pool and Sundeck, followed by Dinner at 10 Cubed on the 100th Floor. It’s always a pleasure to work with Colin Cowie’s innovative team and showcase our wines in such a spectacular setting. We are grateful for this partnership.

As we gear up for Oktoberfest, I hope to see you there. We’ll post more updates again and details for Q4.
